James Milton Pulsifer 79, passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 23, 2023.

James was born in Pontiac, Michigan on December 3, 1943; the son of Milton and Lucile (Tarbox) Pulsifer. James received his education in the local schools and attended Montpelier High School.

James started out working as a taxi driver for Central Cab and for Clarence Builders; he then worked for Vermont College in the maintenance department for many years until his retirement.

James enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and close friends. Most recently he expressed looking forward to spending more quality time with his great grandchildren. James had many interests, some of those were sports, fishing, going to camp, bowling, hunting, building things with his hands and his pets.

James was survived by his three daughters and son:

Tammy Pulsifer and companion Ashton Drown of Graniteville, Vt; Tina (Pulsifer) Ricker of East Corinth, Vt; Ann Pulsifer of Waterbury, Vt; John Pulsifer and companion Robin of Barre, Vt and three grandchildren Paxton (Ricker) Curtis and husband Ryan Curtis and their three children Jada, Nina, and Carsyn of East Corinth, Vt; Kevin Ricker of East Barre, Vt; and Samantha Drown of Graniteville, Vt

He was also survived by his two brothers; Charles Pulsifer of Calais, Vt and Rodney Pulsifer of Brandon, Vt; and a sister-in-law Paula (Curtis) Payette of Alburg, Vt and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

James was predeceased by his parents; a sister Patricia Ann; and the love of his life Paulette (Curtis) Pulsifer.

There will be a memorial to celebrate his life at a later date.
