James Alan Otis "Jimmy", 60, of Orange, VT passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife Tina by his side.

Jimmy was born on January 28, 1964, in Barre, VT to his parents Fernand Otis and Dorothy Bohannon Otis. After graduating from Spaulding High School, Jimmy attended trade school to enhance his sandblasting and granite-cutting skills.

Jimmy worked in the granite industry for many years, for Huntington Homes as a builder, and for Pembroke's painting, most notably painting fire trucks. Jimmy's wife Tina mentioned he used to come home after a long day's work with pieces of granite in his hair.

Jimmy married his loving wife Tina Edson Otis on June 10, 1989, they made their home in Orange, VT, and had two beautiful children Chelsea and Casey.

Jimmy had a love for all things with a motor, he enjoyed snowmobiling on the fresh Vermont snow, four-wheeling, riding dirt bikes, riding motorcycles with family and friends, and most of all spending time with and loving on his four grandchildren.

Jimmy was predeceased by his grandparents Lucien and Alice Otis, John Lewis, and Ida Bohannon.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Tina Otis of Orange, VT, Daughter Chelsea Otis Welch, and her husband Josh of Orange, VT. His son Casey Otis, his wife Michele, and his soon to arrive grandchild from Berlin, VT. Also, his precious grandchildren of Orange, VT Joshua Jr., Jazlynn, Alice, and Cainen. His loving parents Fernand and Dorothy Otis of South Barre, VT, sister Debbie of Williamstown, VT, brothers Louis of Clearwater, FL, Albert of Las Vegas, NV, Chuck of Orange, VT, and George of Orange City, FL. Also, his precious dogs Yorkie, Otis, and Poodle Kiara (aka Doodle). As well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements are in the care of Guare and Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street Montpelier, VT.
