James Countryman, 58, died December 4th after a long battle with MS. A resident of Montpelier, James was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on March 8, 1955 to Walter Gay Countryman and Nancy Billinghurst Countryman, both deceased. He is survived by his sister, Ginger (Ruth) Burke; three nieces, one nephew, 3 grandnieces and two grandnephews. He is also survived by his ex-wife and caregiver of 30 years, Marie Countryman of Montpelier. James was a scientist with multiple degrees from three universities, including Yale University.
