Herbert C. Fisher, Jr, 68, formerly of Montpelier and for many years in Williston, VT, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT after a long illness.

He was born on July 6, 1955 in Taunton, MA, the son of Herbert and Frances (Argo) Fisher. He graduated from Taunton High School and later from Hartford Institute of Accounting.

Mr. Fisher worked most of his career as a Tour Director for Milne Travel. Later in life he worked for Fletcher Allen Health Care.

He was the Past Detachment Commander of the Sons of the American Legion and also served on the Board of Directors of the Dodge House, which provides transitional housing for veterans, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include his sisters, Edith Mary Burgess of Monticello, AR and Linda Jean Fratus of Williston, VT; nieces and nephews, Gaye, Debbie, Kristie, Brian, and Jerry.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, June 17, 2024 at the Guare & Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the North Branch Cemetery in Middlesex, VT.
