Paid obituary no picture Times Argus The World Berlin, VT Henry E. Perrin II, 89 of Scott Hill Road in Berlin, died on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Greensboro Nursing Home. He was born on August 21, 1929, the son of Henry and Marion (Turner) Perrin. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1948 as the Class Salutatorian. He later received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland. Henry served in the United States Army for 23 years. He first served as an automotive specialist in Louisville, KY and Fort Bliss, TX and soon was selected to work on Nike Missiles in West Germany as a Chief Warrant Officer. Upon his discharge Henry returned to the family farm in Berlin where he spent the reminder of his life. He was active in the Vermont Grange for 75 years serving many years as Subordinate and Pomona Master as well as a State Deputy. His second passion was a stamp collecting. Survivors include his siblings; Sally Chartrand of Berlin, VT and David Perrin of Charlotte, VT; nieces and nephews, Craig Chartrand of Richmond, ME, Ellen Moody of Montpelier, VT, Cynthia Franklin of Manchester, MA, Pam Strout of Barre, VT, Henry Perrin of Vachon, WA, Susan Nagel of Boulder, CO, 12 great nieces and nephews and 4 great, great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on November 17, 2018 at 1 pm at the First Congregational Church of Berlin.
