Paid obituary with picture Times Argus Montpelier, VT Helen Christine Kew, 89, formerly of Heaton Woods, died at the Rowan Court Nursing Home on Friday, October 9, 2015. She was born St. Albans, VT on April 14, 1926, the daughter of Marvin and Mary (Clark) Carter. After moving to Montpelier in 1939, she attended the city's public schools and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1944. In 1947, she married Rodney Kew. They later divorced. She lived on North Street from 1966 until she entered Heaton Woods in 2007 Helen worked for the W.T. Grant department store for many years until it closed. She then worked for Edson's Pharmacy, and the Capital Stationers until her retirement. Survivors include her daughter; Jacqueline Piper and husband, Jeffrey of Shippensburg, PA; son, Victor Kew and wife, Stephanie of Willow Hill, PA; grandchildren, Andrea Frey, Ellen McAllister, James Frey, Debra Smith, John Frey all of PA, and Suzanne Kew of Idaho; 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
