Gloria E. Demingware, 92, formerly of Ward Brook Road, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Mayo Nursing Home.

She was born on January 28, 1932, the daughter of Rae O. and Mabel (Wagner) Washburn Sr. in Derby, VT, sixth of the seven children.

On June 5, 1952, Gloria married Kenneth E. Demingware, Sr. at St. Augustine's Church in Montpelier. Together they had four children.

Gloria enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends at the VFW Post #793 and the American Legion Post #3 where she was lifetime member of both. Gloria loved all of her family and was especially proud to be "Gram", "Grammy" or "Nanny" to her grandchildren and "Grammy D" or "Nanny" to her great grandchildren. Gloria cherished her nieces and nephews and the times she spent with them.

Survivors include her children, Johanne (Marshall) Gray of Moretown, VT, Sheila (Dennis) Daniels of Salisbury, NC, Kenneth Demingware Jr. Of Salisbury NC and Kathy Rogers of Barre, VT, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Sr., Granddaughter Marsha Gray Cote, Son in law John Rogers Jr., her siblings and inlaws.

Calling Hours will be held from 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the Guare & Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier, VT 05602. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Bible Baptist Church of Berlin, 68 Vine Street, Barre, VT.
