Obituary

Barre, VT Evelyn L. (Fisher) Latuch passed away October 30, 2014, surrounded in a roomful of love and peace, following a brief illness. She was born in Montpelier, Vermont, on June 22, 1934, daughter of Clyde A. and Edith M. (Wilkins) Fisher. Evelyn was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her passions were her family, cooking, and knitting. Her past employment included cooking for seniors, and she was a life member and past president of Post 792, VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Evelyn loved Vermont apple picking season with her family and baking the perfect apple pie and apple cinnamon crisps. In the past, she enjoyed knitting for the Mitten Tree and donating her hand made items. Each new addition to her family and friends would receive handmade baby items. Evelyn lived at Tilden House for a short time. She touched many lives, as every morning she would visit in the community room along with her dog Tucker. Evelyn celebrated her 80th birthday and we are blessed with fond memories of that day. With an apron on, sleeves up, water boiling she was at her best! Though Evelyn was elderly, she would lend a helping hand to others in need. She enjoyed her country and western music and watching her soap opera's. Her love was unconditional for all of us. Survivors include sons, Joseph C Amaral, Jr., and his companion Kristin Wackley; Anthony C Amaral and wife Elizabeth; daughters LuAnn Brownell and companion, Steve Moore; Evelyn Amaral; and Michelle Amaral and companion, Kelley Eastman. Evelyn was lovingly known to her grandchildren as Grandma. Her grandchildren include Tanya, Gwen, Chuck, Jason, Maria, Bobbie Jean, Ilona, Tyler, Marie and a predeceased granddaughter Jolene. She also spent time with her nine great grandchildren and was fondly referred to as GG: Alyssa, Jonathan, Kyle, Daniel, Jordan, Cheyenne, Taylor, Jaxson, and Ryker Evelyn is now everlastingly joined her predeceased siblings, Fred Fisher, Margaret LaFountain, Shirley Mahoney, Florence Fisher, Herbert Fisher, Charles Fisher, Robert Fisher, and Clarence Fisher. Evelyn was formerly married to predeceased husbands, Joseph C Amaral, Willard McManis, and Robert Latuch A chapel service will be held promptly at 11:00 a.m. at the Vermont's Veteran's Cemetery in Randolph, VT on Thursday November 13, 2014 , with a brief graveside service to follow. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at the VFW in Montpelier following the service from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in Evelyn's name to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
