Elva Belle Buska age 82 of Marshfield, Vermont went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2010. She was surrounded with her family by her side in the comfort of her daughter's home in Michigan at her time of passing.
Elva was born January 4, 1928 in Hazel Park, Michigan, she was the third oldest child of Frederick & Eva (Hutchinson) LaPan, and stepdaughter of Bertha LaPan. She was a lifetime member of the Montpelier VFW Women's Auxiliary.
She received her education in Cumberland, Maine. Elva was employed for many years at the Coffee Corner, Fisherman's Galley and Wayside Restaurant before retiring to spend her time with her family. A few of her favorite pastimes were dancing, listening to music, playing cards, and especially spending quality time with her family & friends.
Elva married Myers (Pete) Buska on July 18, 1945 in Cumberland Center, Maine. They were married 56 years before he preceded her in death on October 8, 2001.
Elva is survived by her 5 children: Joseph (Lisa) Buska, Linda (Ken) McGregor, Debra (Roger) Bauer all from Michigan and Dennis Buska and David (Susan) Buska of Vermont, 14 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren. Other survivors include her siblings: Verniece (Henry) Royce of Vermont, Darlene (Edward) Leaor of New Hampshire, Jack (Kathleen) LaPan of Michigan, Gloria (Bud) Allen of California, Eva (Larry) Parks of Arizona, and Shirley (Ken) Morrison of California and her step mother Bertha LaPan of Massachusetts. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Elva was predeceased by her Mother & Father and also a brother Frederick LaPan Jr.
Calling hours will be Friday September 10, 2010 from 5.00 - 8.00 PM at Guare & Sons Funeral Home, Montpelier, VT.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday September 11, 2010 at 11.00 AM in Montpelier at Saint Augustine Catholic Church.
Burial will take place in Barre at Hope Cemetery immediately after the funeral mass.
