Montpelier, VT
Elizabeth R. (Bee) Warren, 80, on Freedom Drive, died on Monday, November 18, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 18, 1933, the daughter of Glen and Margaret (Russell) Ransom. She graduated from Summit High School (NJ). She later received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western College for Women in Oxford, OH, in 1955.
In September of 1955, Bee married William E. Warren. They lived throughout the US, including Fairbanks, AK, while William was in the Air Force. They settled in Lexington, MA, where Bee lived for 45 years. They later divorced.
Bee worked for many years as a librarian at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, MA and at the Concord Free Public Library in Concord, MA. Her lifelong passion was creating art. An accomplished artist, she mastered many media throughout her life including painting, sculpture, print-making, photography, and drawing. She found inspiration in nature, in particular the landscapes of the Southwest and New England, and in the landscape of her imagination and dreams.
She loved to travel and had many adventures on Elderhostel trips. She enjoyed camping and bird-watching with friends and family, and spending time alone at her rustic cabin in the woods. Bee cherished visiting with family, especially her cousins Sally Hale and Jane Cuyler. She will be dearly missed.
