East Montpelier, VT Elizabeth "Betty" Jerome The true north star of the Jerome family went home to meet her Lord and be reunited with the Love of her Life Al on January 12, 2020, at Heaton Woods Residence surrounded by the love of family and friends. Betty was born September 19, 1925, in Waterbury, Vermont the daughter of George and Eva Wills. She graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1945. Betty worked for Barry and Jones until she met and married the love of her life Albert Jerome August 26, 1946. Together they built a home and raised 9 children with love and lots of patience. When her youngest started school she went back to work and became the bookkeeper for the Vermont Farm Bureau and would work their happily until she retired in 1988 and enjoyed volunteering with her husband for the Red Cross, CVH and the Health Department. She was a faithful member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and was the Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters Society. Betty had the ability to turn strangers into friends and friends into family, she loved baking and sharing her treats with all, knitting, gardening and canning, but was most content with a baby in her arms. Betty is survived by her children, Linda Kennedy of Northfield, David Jerome and wife Linda of Maui, Stephen Jerome and wife Lois from Northfield, Teresa Paine and husband Chip of Barre, Susan Charron of Marshfield, Joseph Jerome and wife Lorna of St. Albans, Katie Charron and husband Bill of Northfield, NH and Paul Jerome and wife Sherry of Middlesex, 14 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren, two sisters Irene of Burlington and Ann of Florence, AL as well as several nieces and nephews. Betty is predeceased by her husband Albert Jerome, son Bernard Joseph, her parents George and Eva, two brothers Robert and James, and son in laws Bradley Charron and Bill Horne. A funeral of catholic faith will be held at 12:00 pm, May 8, 2020, at St. Augustine Church, 16 Barre Street, Montpelier, VT.
