Eleana (Molinari) Morse, 86, of Northfield Road, Berlin died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Rowan Court Nursing Home in Barre.
She was born in Montpelier, VT on December 5, 1921 the daughter of Emelio and Victoria (Giacco) Molinari. She attended schools in Montpelier.
On March 18, 1944 she married Wendell Harrington Morse in Montpelier. Mr. Morse predeceased her on May 6, 1997. They have six children together and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She took care of her family and home and enjoyed baking, family gatherings and cookouts. She spend time working in her flower gardens and enjoying the outdoors and bird watching. Eleana loved crocheting and she was noted for many doilies and Afghans she made through the years. She also had an interesting collection of stones and pebbles, dried leaves and especially four leave clovers.
Eleana is survived by a daughter, Pamela A. Sparrow, and her husband, David, of East Montpelier; five sons, Robert W. Morse; Wendell H. Morse, Jr., and his wife, Diane; James R. Morse, and his wife, Rosemary; Reginald R. Morse all of Berlin, VT; and Franklyn L. Morse, and his wife, Kathy, of Barre Town, VT; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Eleana is also survived by a sister, Norma Machia of East Hampton, CT and two half sisters, Nettie Cacicio of Montpelier and Irene Atkinson of Hudson, FL.
Eleana was predeceased by six siblings, Sylvia Johnson; Delia Martin; Olga Martin; Elsie Molinari; Michael Cacicio and Joseph Cacicio.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 18, 2008 at Guare & Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier. Burial will follow the service in Plain-Mont Cemetery.
