Douglas C. Emmons, passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 73. He was born on December 31, 1949, in Barre, VT, to the late Raymond and Simone Emmons. Doug grew up in Montpelier, VT, later making his home in Berlin, VT. Doug was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Doug attended St. Michael's High School. Following the closure of St. Michael's, Doug attended and graduated from Montpelier High School. Throughout his career Doug worked for several automotive dealerships and non-profit organizations. His professional career blended one of his greatest passions, cars, with one of his greatest strengths, helping others. In addition, Doug served the Berlin community as a basketball coach, baseball coach, and school board member.

Outside of work, Doug cherished spending time with his beloved family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Jacquelyn Emmons, their two children, Kevin Emmons of Berlin and Kara Bissonnette and her husband Matthew of Colchester, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Landon Bissonnette and Brynn Bissonnette. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Emmons and his wife Linda of Northfield, and sister-in-law, Janet Merrill and her husband Peter of Middlesex, David Crowell and his wife Dorinda of Middlesex, and Randy Crowell and his wife Kim Crowell of Henderson, NV.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Guare & Sons Funeral Home in Montpelier. A service will take place the following day, Friday, December 8th, 2023, at Guare & Sons Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. The family invites all friends and loved ones to attend and share their fond memories of Doug.

Doug will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering loyalty, and sense of humor. He had a knack for making everyone around him feel understood, loved, and valued. Rest In Peace, dear Doug.
