Dorothy J. Levesque, 90, formerly of Downing Street, Montpelier and more recently of Heaton Woods died at her home on Monday, October 26, 2009. She was born in Montpelier on August 13, 1919 the daughter of James L. & Jessie (Jacobs) Jerome. Dorothy attended Montpelier Schools and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1937. She worked for a period of time at the Vermont Department of Agriculture. She married Percy Levesque on June 28, 1948 in St. Augustine Catholic Church. They owned and operated together several apartment buildings on Downing Street in Montpelier for 41 years. She is survived by a niece, Susan Jerome of Montpelier, Percy's niece and nephew, Ann Goyer of Brunwick, GA and Roy Ferland of Burlington, several grand nieces and nephews and other distant cousins. Dorothy is pre-deceased by her husband, Percy on December 17, 2006 and her brother, Harry Jerome in 2002. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 30th, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial will follow the Mass at Berlin Corners Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
