Obituary

Dorothy Louise Hackett, 89, of Thomas Lane, Stowe died suddenly Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Woodridge Nursing Home. She was born in Providence, R.I. on May 5, 1920 the daughter of Patrick and Mary (Hudson) Conboy. Dorothy attended schools in Providence and graduated from St. Patrick High School and Bryant College. She was married to James Edward Hackett in Providence on October 23, 1946. They had three children together, Patricia, Barbara and James. Mr. Hackett died on December 31, 1998 and Dorothy moved to Stowe in 2001. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Stowe. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Patricia Gaston and her husband, Robert of South Burlington; Barbara Montecalvo and her husband Joseph of North Kingstown, R.I.; Son, James Hackett and his wife, Mary Ann of North Kingstown, R.I.; seven grandchildren, Ethan; Kara; and Evan Gaston, Devon and Joseph Montecalvo, Hudson and Philip Hackett; two great grandchildren, Eddie and Zoe Gaston; three nieces, Judy, Patricia, and Mary Janice. She was pre-deceased by her husband and brother, Raymond Conboy, and a nephew, Raymond. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 am., Saturday, March 27, 2010 from Blessed Sacrament Church, Mountain Road, Stowe. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 29th at Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown, R.I.
