Montpelier, VT Donald O. Sessions, 96, passed away February 21, 2014 in Virginia. He was the son of Gladys Standish and Ira O. Sessions who resided in and around Newport, Vt. their entire lives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Cecchini Sessions. Also deceased are his brother Ralph and his sister Kaye Coffin. He attended high school in Newport and graduated from Bentley College in Boston Massachusetts. After four plus years in the Army Air Corps during World War II, he began work for the New England Telephone Company and retired in 1978 after 32 years. Upon the death of his wife in 2008 he moved to Stafford, Virginia to live with his daughter and her husband. He is survived by his daughter, Sylvia S. Zimmerman; her husband George W. Zimmerman; and nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Covenant Funeral Services in Stafford, Virginia and Guare and Sons in Montpelier, Vermont.
