Donald Charles Leno

Donald C. Leno “Don”, 77, of Washington, VT, passed away on January 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his precious wife Patricia (Pat) Leno.

Don was born on February 10, 1948, to his parents Joseph Leno and Hazel (Baldwin) Leno in Montpelier, VT.

He attended Spaulding High School in Barre, VT, and graduated.

Don joined the United States Navy in 1965 and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Don was also a talented mechanic for many decades, working at Kenco and Caterpillar until his retirement.

Don married Patricia (Valley) Leno on September 4, 1971, in East Montpelier, VT.

Don had many interests, including hunting and fishing, tending to the horses in previous years, boating with his wife and family, using his creative side by building, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Pat.” His beautiful children are Neisha Gross of Nebraska, Clint Leno of VT, Ronald Leno (Chynna) of South Carolina, and Jacqueline Dobrowski of VT. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Lemieux of VT, and his pup, an Australian Shepard named Ripley, and his Tuxedo kitty Milo.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Hazel, as well as several siblings.

Memorial contributions can be made in Don’s memory to the Central Vermont Humane Society or Central VT Home Health and Hospice.
