Standard obituary for Monday's Times Argus CALAIS – Donald Merle Fair, Sr., 81, of North Calais, died Friday, December 11, 2015, at his home in Calais. He was born May 10, 1934, in Calais, the son of Roy and Ruth (Richardson) Fair. He grew up in Calais graduating Montpelier High School in 1952 and received a degree in accounting from the University of West Virginia, Beckley after a tour of duty during the Korean War in the Air Force. Don worked in several capacities in the tax department at National Life until his retirement. Survivors include: his spouse, Kathy Fair; his five children: Donald Fair, Jr., Cat Fair, Grant Fair, Melissa Cohen, and Julie Taylor; and nine grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no memorial service.
