Diana R. Lee, of Paul Ave. died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin.
She was born on February 27, 1951 in St. Albans, VT, the daughter of Robert and Doris (Shattuck) Lee. In 1969, she graduated from Burlington High School and later attended University of Vermont, graduating in the class of 1973 with a degree in French.
After college, Diana joined the Peace Corps and spent time in the East African country of Niger, working in the health education field.
Diana also attended Vermont Technical College. She graduated there with a Veterinary Technician degree. She worked for various Veterinary clinics throughout the area, but most recently with Berlin Veterinarian Clinic in Montpelier.
In September of 1978, she married William Frantz. Although they later divorced, they remained close friends to this day.
Diana was affiliated with the Northern Greyhound Rescue in St. Albans and also adopted many greyhounds. She also enjoyed gardening and bicycling.
Survivors include her son, Rajan Frantz, of Boston, MA; a brother David Lee of Brookfield, VT; and former husband William Frantz of Berlin, VT.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the family lot in Newport, VT at a later date.
