Our father, grandfather and friend, Dennis William Parker, passed away after a brief illness on October 18th 2025, at Central Vermont Medical Center.
Born December 15th 1949, in Burlington Vermont, Dennis was adopted by his loving mother, Luella Parker(Dunham).
Upon graduation from Montpelier High School in 1967, Dennis went to work on various construction projects, including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway. After a brief but rewarding career in nursing, Dennis went on to become an accounting clerk for the Department of Agricultural, from which he was able to comfortably retire.
He will be remembered for his unconditional love and loyalty for his family, passing on his love of music to his children and grandchildren, and as an avid fan of the New York Yankees. A simple man, he found joy in nature, walking the trails of Hubbard Park with his faithful companion, Toupe'.
Dennis is survived by his loving family, including daughter Erin McDermott, son Dennis Parker, former wife Val Smith, son in law Kevin McDermott, former son in law Brian Delphia, alongside grandchildren Chelsea Delphia, Ty Delphia and his fiancé Jasmine Heinle, Lillian Parker and her partner Gabriel Hernandez, Mason Harvie, Jackson Parker and great granddaughter Carly Rose Hernandez.
Dennis was predeceased by his brother, David Parker of Graniteville.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
