David Robert Lupien, 73, of Tilden House, South Main Street, Barre died at his home on October 20, 2015.
He was born in Montpelier on October 9, 1942, the son of Leon and Grace Lupien. David received his education in Montpelier Grade School and High School.
Following his education, David enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served proudly in the mid 1960's.
He was a member of the Barre American Legion Post # 10, and the Canadian Club. David was an avid hunter and fishermen, he loved to go camping, play his guitar, enjoyed cooking and doing many other activities with his family.
David is survived by six daughters, Rose McAllister and her husband, Richard of East Montpelier; Nicole Lupien of Barre; Tammy Miller and her husband, Luke of Roxbury, VT; Debbie Lupien of CA; Isabelle Rutledge of Rutland, VT; Christine Webb and her husband, Jason of Berlin; two sons, Robert Poulen and his wife, Jennifer of Barre; and David Richardson of Barre; 18 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
He is also survived by his siblings, Betty Messier and her husband, John of Island Pond; Patty McGrath and her husband Fred of Graniteville; Barb Boutin of Graniteville; Carrie Wynne of Oceanside, CA; Sara Lupien of Barre; Sandy Moote and her husband, Louie of Orange; and Cindy Barr and her husband Frank of West Berlin; a brother, George Lupien of Carney Point, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by an infant daughter, Crystal Lupien;parents, Leon and Grace Lupien; sister, Susan Lupien and two brothers, James and Erwin Lupien.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 23rd from 11am - 1:00pm at Guare and Sons Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Green Mount Cemetery.
