Daisy Marguerite Friedman was born on January 17, 1932 in Strasbourg, France. In the early hours of Dec 5th, she took her last breath at the age of 93 due to congestive heart failure.
Daisy was the daughter of Theodore Bostatetter, and Lucie Piepenbring of Alsace. She was the sister of Pierre Bostaetter. She was the wife of Howard Friedman, who passed in 2014. She was the loving mother of three children: Diane, Peter (who passed in 1986) and Michael. She is survived by her daughter Diane Friedman, her son Michael Friedman, his wife Sarika Tandon, and her two beloved grandchildren Satya Daisy and Krishna Sky Tandon-Friedman.
Daisy was a sculptor, painter, poet, and choral singer. She raised a family, worked as a Montessori teacher, was a hospice volunteer in her community. She surrounded the people in her life with cheer, love, humor and warmth. She loved music, nature and the wonderful French foods of her homeland. Daisy was an international traveler who spoke several languages and met the world with an openness, curiosity and kindness that touched and uplifted everyone she came into contact with. She was a remarkably loving and affectionate person.
