Charles E Coughlin passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of March 25, 2014 at the age of 59.
Charlie graduated valedictorian from Spaulding High School and went on to receive two degrees from Castleton State College. A connoisseur of coffee and a love for old fashion donuts is one trait that many will remember about Charlie. Charlie had a way about him that made you smile and laugh. His boyish smile, great enthusiasm and happiness for getting out in the community was always met with "Greetings Greetings" or a "Yea Yea" and a wave to everyone he met.
He was loved by many and is survived by his home care provider and friend Roslyn Haldane and her two children Ashley and Richard Haldane. It is impossible to not have been touched by Charlie in some way; with his passion for life and enthusiasm for learning, Charlie was always able to have a positive outlook in any situation. He will be missed by many including his friends and staff at Washington County Mental Health, caregivers and nurses from Tender Loving Homecare, LLC as well as the family he stole the hearts of, the Haldanes'.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
