Montpelier, VT Carmen Raschella Bonheim Sorbanelli entered into eternal peace on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Berlin Health & Rehab Center. Carmen was born on Nov. 6, 1906 in New York City, daughter of the late Vincent and Christiana Raschella. She married Max Bonheim in 1929. They had three children, Richard, Dolores, Carmella. Max predeceased her in 1945. She later married Louis Sorbanelli in 1946. Lou predeceased her in 1980. Carmen was an executive secretary for many years in New York City and New Jersey. She was active in Republican politics, president of the PTA and the Altar and Rosary Society in Northvale, NJ. She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her two children; Dolores and her husband Rudolph Reinecke and son, Richard Bonheim; eight grandchildren; Richard and his wife Stephanie, Bruce and his wife Jane, Steven and his wife Karen, Kurt and his wife Jane Reinecke, Christopher, and his wife Jennifer, Michael and his wife Christine, Mary, and Kenneth and his wife Sherry Bonheim; thirteen great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren, and three nieces, Caryl Connolly, Kathleen Feick, and Dolores Lawless. She was also predeceased by her brother Aloysius and loving sisters Ottilie (Stackler) and Dolores (Connolly), and infant daughter, Carmella Carmen was always cheerful and told people to "smile, it will make you feel good on the inside and on the outside". She left all with her blessing to keep the angels close. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6-8:00pm at Guare & Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier, VT A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
