Blanche Dickenson Bousquet, 91, of Cedar Drive, Berlin and formerly of Montpelier died November 23, 2012 at Berlin Health & ReHab Center.
Blanche was born in Roxbury, VT on April 3, 1921, the daughter of George Oliver Dickenson and Lillian Belle (Meacham) Dickenson. She attended Roxbury Schools and graduated from Northfield High School in 1940.
She married Charles William Bousquet on May 30, 1942 in Northfield, VT. They lived in Montpelier for many years and have two sons, Richard and Stephen.
Blanche worked for many years for M.H. Fishmans Store in Montpelier, and Grants, Zayres, & Ames stores in Berlin. Blanche also worked for 20 years for Central Vermont Hospital and retired in 1985 from the hospital. She spent time with her husband while he was in the service and worked with him at the Daylight Bakery which they bought in 1946 until they closed it.
Blanche loved company and belonged to the Garden Dome Campers Association. She was also a volunteer for the Vermont Historical Society.
She is survived by her husband, Charles of Berlin; two sons, Richard Bousquet of Williamstown, VT; Stephen Bousquet and his wife, Kathryn of Morrisville, VT; grandchildren, Crystal Bousquet and her companion, Dan Mack of Barre; Charles Bousquet of Barre, Tamara and Michelle Bousquet of Williamstown; Joseph Bousquet of Chicago, Ill; Jeffrey Bousquet and his wife, Danielle of Worcester; Elizabeth Bousquet of Presque Isle, ME; Alexander Bousquet of Manchester, NH; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Geneva & Braydan Bousquet.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Guare & Sons Funeral Home. Callings hours will begin at 11:00 until the hour of the service. Burial will take place at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph.
