Obituary

Montpelier, VT Beverly Kearney Fisher, 78, of Quesnel Drive, died on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Central Vermont Medical Center. She was born on June 13, 1934 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Henry and Isabel (Wilder) Kearney. Beverly was raised by her mother and step-father, Ben Muennink. She attended schools in Connecticut and Texas but graduated from Montpelier High School in 1952. Right after graduation she went to work for National Life. She also held various positions with Equity Services, Inc. and the Sentinel Group Funds, both associated with National Life. After 39 years with the company, Beverly retired in 1991. She was a member and past president of both the VFW #792 Auxiliary and the American Legion Post #3 Auxiliary. She enjoyed hunting and ice fishing as well as golfing. On December 9, 1961, she married Frederick Fisher and spent most of their married life in Montpelier. Mr. Fisher predeceased her on August 11, 2012. She is survived by her brother, James Kearney and his wife Marion of Connecticut; sisters in law, Evelyn Latuch of Graniteville and Charlene Kearney of East Barre; step mother, Bertha Muennink of Northfield, and her very dear friend, Lorraine Wilder of Worcester as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents and step parents as well as a step sister and a brother, Joseph. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, VT at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
