Bernice "Bunny" Delvina Allen, 89, of Barre Street died on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Central Vermont Medical Center.
She was born in East Barre, VT, the daughter of James Francis and Maud (Urban) Scott. She was educated at St. Sylvesters School in East Barre, VT.
She married Ethan "Skip" Allen in Montpelier. He predeceased her on April 17, 1983.
Bunny worked most of her career at the Vermont Department of Employment and Training. She retired there in 1996 after 10+ years of service.
Hobbies and interests include long walks, berry picking, baking, and crocheting. She enjoyed horror movies and had an extensive collection of record albums mostly country music, especially Hank Williams. Also, she prided herself on taking care of her great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter; Beverly Bailey and her husband, Eric of E. Calais, VT; her grandchildren, Anne OBrien and her husband, Mike and their sons, Dylan and Jake of Duxbury, VT, Marcia Violette and her husband Dan and their daughters, Molly and Abbie of S. Barre, VT, Jennifer Rowell and her husband, Jason and their son Tony of E. Calais, VT and a brother, Bernard Scott of Barre, VT and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 10 siblings.
Immediately following the graveside service, on Tuesday July 9, 2019, everyone is invited to the VFW Post 792 in Montpelier on Pioneer Street at 1:00 PM for a time of remembrance.
