Beatrice was born on September 9, 1934, in Ferrisburgh, VT, to Frank Lussier and Dorthy (Blaise) Lussier. Beatrice was one of six children, and she was born weighing less than two pounds. She was truly a miracle!
Beatrice attended school in Middlebury, VT, and graduated from Middlebury High School with her diploma. Beatrice worked for the Vermont State Hospital as a Psychiatric Technician (and as a Pharmacy Tech) for 30-plus years until her retirement. She also worked at the Berlin Convalescent Center.
Beatrice married Harold McAdam in the early 50’s; they later divorced, but had five amazing children, Mary, Shirley, Patty, Debra, and Harold. Beatrice married Philip Chase in February 2011. He was the love of her life!
Beatrice had many hobbies and interests, some of which included gardening, bird watching, reading romance novels on the porch, baking, spending time with family, and celebrating various holidays with her beloved grandchildren and family. Beatrice was a dedicated and valued member of the Daughters of Rebekah (the Rebekahs) association. The Rebekahs is a service-oriented organization and a branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
Beatrice is survived by her children, Mary Keane (Bob) of Hillside, NJ, Shirley McAdam of Burlington, VT, Patty Demingware (Steve) of Montpelier, VT, Debra Hall of Montpelier, VT, and Harold McAdam of LaFollette, TN. She is also survived by 6 stepchildren, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one on the way, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorthy Lussier, her beloved husband Philip Chase, a grandson, Shawn, her siblings Frank Lussier Jr., Marcel Lussier, Paul Lussier, Henry Lussier, and Laurent Lussier.
A private burial will be held in the spring at the discretion of Beatrice’s immediate family.
