Barbara Ann (Buck) McAllister

Barre, VT

Barbara Ann (Buck) McAllister of Barre, VT, passed away on December 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her children and family.

Barbara was born on November 23, 1947, in Bennington, VT, to her parents, Robert Buck and Dorothy (Davenport) Buck.

Barbara attended school in Bennington, VT, and graduated in 1965 from Bennington High School. Barbara had a strong work ethic and was a dedicated employee at Burger King in Berlin for many years, up until her passing.

Barbara had many passions, most importantly her beloved family, specifically her children and grandchildren. Barbara shared a home in Barre with her daughter, Bridget, and grandchildren RJ, Alek, and dog Delek, and, in earlier years, grandson Josh. She was affectionately known as "Mom" or "Gram". Barbara enjoyed knitting, reading, and the family tradition of attending the Bennington Battle Day Parade. She was also a member of a bowling league for many years.

Barbara is survived by her loving children, daughters Jeri Walbridge of Waitsfield, Jodi Campbell and her husband Albert of Worcester, and Bridget Fisher of Barre, and her sons Philip Walbridge and wife Colleen of SC, and Rob Walbridge and wife Nikki of East Montpelier. She is also survived by her siblings, Donna Fisher and her husband, Don, of Bennington, Pamela Buck of MA, and David Buck of FL; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several extended family members.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Buck.

Arrangements are in the care of Guare and Sons Funeral Home of Montpelier, VT.

A graveside service will be held in Barbara's memory at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
