Ashley M. "Skip" Hudson, 62, of Waitsfield lost his battle with cancer on February 24, 2010. Skip was born on May 11, 1947 at Heaton Hospital in Montpelier. He was the son of Ashley H. and Doris J. Hudson of Montpelier, VT. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1966 and upon graduation enlisted in the Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1970 as Sergeant First Class. On September 11, 1984, he married Lillian Frazier of Montpelier. Skip was employed by EH Wyman for several years and with F.W. Webb for the past 17 years. Skip enjoyed railroading, NASCAR, and loved his Georgia "Bulldawgs" and most importantly his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, of 26 years, his father, Ashley H. Hudson, his brother Bruce Hudson and his wife Ayla, his brother Dana V. Hudson and family, several grandchildren, step children, and nieces and nephews. He was a member of American Legion Post # 3 in Montpelier. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, care of Mt. Sinai Shriners, P.O. 742, Montpelier, VT 05601. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
