Montpelier, VT Arthur C. "Skipper" Kerin, Jr., 62, a resident of Rowan Court Health and Rehab Center and a former longtime resident of Terrace Street, Montpelier died December 23, 2007 at Central Vermont Hospital. He was born in Montpelier on December 2, 1945, the son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Gamache) Kerin. He attended St. Micheal's High school and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1966. In his early years, Skipper assisted Harold Roop with Hertz Car Rental. He then worked as an adjustor for Concord Insurance Group. Later he worked in the accounting office for the State of Vermont, Department of Education. He also worked as a bookkeeper for the Montpelier Elks Club. In 1972, he married Sandra Myers at St. Augustine Church. Survivors include a daughter, Monica McCarter of Shirley, MA, and a sister Patricia Weldner of Hurst, TX and two nieces and many cousins. There will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at St. Augustine Church. Committal prayers will follow the mass at Green Mount Cemetery.
