Anne F. Whiteley - It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Anne Whiteley of Middlesex, Vermont, passed away on January 26, 2026, after a lengthy illness. She was 71.

Anne was born on October 24, 1954, in Washington, DC. She attended Sterling College in Craftsbury, Vermont, before earning a law degree at the Vermont Law School. She worked as an attorney for the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation for many years, and also spent part of her career at the Environmental Protection Agency in Boston, Massachusetts.

Anne had a great sense of humor and always kept an optimistic attitude in her life. In her youth, one of her favorite activities was to sail on the Chesapeake Bay. She also enjoyed reading, playing games, listening to music, watching old movies, gardening, and camping with friends at some of Vermont's state parks. She lived in Middlesex with her husband, Michael Adams, and dog, Pixie. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, and a sister.

A celebration of Anne's life will be held later this year at the discretion of her family.
