Ann E. MacRitchie, 82, of Hillhead Street, Montpelier died on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Central Vermont Medical Center. She was born Jamaica Plains, MA on January 6, 1932, the daughter of Kathleen Paterson. She attended St. Michael's grade school and graduated from St. Michael's High School in 1949. She worked as an administrative assistant for Vermont Fish and Game for 20 years, then later for Vermont Liquor Control for 24 years. On December 2, 1955 she married John MacRitchie in Barre, VT. Mr. MacRitchie predeceased her on November 13, 1981. Survivors include her sons, William MacRitchie of Montpelier and Kenneth MacRitchie of Montpelier, and several nieces and nephews. At her request there will be no formal calling hours or funeral service. There will be a memorial gathering for family and friend in the spring.
