Barre, VT Amy J. Parizo, 91, formerly of Andrews Court in Barre, VT, died on October 18, 2017, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin, VT. She was born on March 13, 1926 in Hardwick, VT, the daughter of Carl and Harriet "Sadie" Rehn. She attended public school in Woodbury, VT. She was predeceased by her Husband Bert Parizo in 1976. She was also predeceased by her Parents, Sisters Iva Stevens, Anna Chartier, Francis Brimblecomb, Rena Blaisdell and one Brother Andrew Rehn. Amy worked as an assembler at the North Montpelier Woolen Mills for several years. In 1977, she became employed at the National Clothespin Factory on Granite Street in Montpelier,VT, retiring on October 29, 2003, after 26 years. Amy enjoyed fishing, gardening, knitting, crossword puzzles, going to dances, helping neighbors, playing bingo, and spending time with family (especially holidays). She enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics and cheering for her favor player Isiah Thomas #4 (the little guy). NASCAR she loved watching until her favorite driver Karl Edwards retired. She also enjoyed long (often daily) telephone visits with her dear friends Ron and Lou Sanguinetti and Reta Hebert. Survivors include her two daughters, Gloria Murphy and husband, Adrian of Middlesex, and Margaret Berry and her husband Cliff of Johnson, VT; three grandchildren, Douglas Murphy, Tammy Irish, and Tracy Hamel and her husband, Adam; five great grandchildren, Donovan Murphy, Samantha and husband Chris Paquette, Kayla and husband Ben Collier, Jessica Friedrich and Hailey Hamel. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Montpelier, VT.
