Barre, VT Alice May (Fullam) Jones, 74, of North Barre Manor, died Monday, June 24, 2019 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT surrounded by her family. She was born on January 30, 1945, the daughter of George and Lucy (Rand) Fullam. Alice graduated from Randolph High School in 1963. For many years she worked as a teachers aide for several area schools including Barre City Elementary School and Spaulding High School. Alice attended classes and became an LNA for Central Vermont Home Health, she also did food service for Berlin Elementary School, and worked for some local companies sewing and crafting at home. On April 28, 1984, she married Peter Jones at the Congregational Church in Barre, VT. Alice was an avid reader especially novels by Nicholas Sparks and Danielle Steele. She enjoyed sewing clothes, costumes, & blankets for family and friends along with crocheting and other crafts. She listened to country music, including Johnny Cash and locally Sherri Lamberton. Alice also enjoyed camping, fishing, and attending races at Thunder Road where #14 Phil Scott was her favorite driver. She loved everything Mickey Mouse, but even more, she loved her large family. Survivors include her husband, Peter Jones of Barre; her children, Michael A. Stridsberg of Berlin, David Stridsberg of Berlin, Vincent Stridsberg of South Barre, Lucy Herring of Berlin, Mary Stridsberg of Berlin, and Jeremy Jones of Barre, VT, along with 13 grandchildren, Sara (Stridsberg) Walker, Michael R. Stridsberg, Lora Stridsberg, Clark Stridsberg, Minda Stridsberg; Crystal Stridsberg; Kyle Stridsberg; William Herring, Lindsey Herring; Joshua Stanley, Nicholas Stanley, Jamie White, and Aiden Vilbrin, and four great grandchildren, William Kimberley-Stridsberg; Zeta Walker, Amelia Walker; and Isabella Stridsberg, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Edith (Fullam) Lord and infant brother, Henry Fullam, along with her half siblings, Harry Fullam, Elizabeth (Fullam) Shaw, Clarence Fullam, and Nellie (Fullam) Bellemeur. There will be a celebration of Alices life on Sunday, June 30, 3pm with a potluck dinner at the Red Brick Church, 18 Main Street, Randolph, VT. Arrangements are in the care of Guare & Sons Funeral Home.
